Fred Carriedo is a graphic designer based in San Francisco who has a great portfolio spanning identity, print and packaging design. I particularly love this identity designed for the Sugar Deli Food Center in NYC, particularly the modern take on the red and white gingham check pattern. I also find the logotype quite interesting due to the way Carriedo has managed to blend three distinct typefaces together to create a retro, yet contemporary aesthetic.
