MUSE by Harry Pearce and Pentagram | Incredible Types

MUSE

Intrigued (in a good way) by this recent identity designed by Pentragram partner Harry Pearce for MUSE, a new science museum based in Trento, Italy. What I like most about this identity is the way the logotype masterfully appears to occupy a three dimensional space, without the use of gradients and shadows, which have plagued many identities in recent years. The rationale behind the fold and the geometry is quite interesting, but in terms of pure aesthetics the exagerated perspective looks and feels quite experimental — perfect for a science museum.
