For Future Reference
London based studio Mothership have a gorgeous new website boasting a great selection of old and new work, such as this project for The University for the Creative Arts. Mothership were commissioned to create the identity, signage and promotional material for the UCA Farnham Degree Show — For Future Reference.
Central to the identity is a proportional pattern system, which when combined represents the university as a whole, but when seen individually represents singular schools. These abstract forms and patterns work excellently when combined with Helvetica’s slightly quirky and older cousin Neuzeit, thanks largely to it’s subtle geometric qualities. Loving the lo-fi choice of substrate for the signage too!
