Flathate’s Handbook by Lauren Earl | Incredible Types

Flathate’s Handbook

Flatting with strangers can be a great experience, but the reality is that for many of us it involves managing tense situations, dealing with irrational house mates and waiting for the best time to sneak out of your room to avoid an awkward conversation with the stoner living down the hall. The Flathate’s Handbook is a humorous take on the flatting experience designed by Lauren Earl, a graphic designer who recently graduated from Massey University in New Zealand. I love the juxtapostion of black and white photography, hand-drawn illustrations and bold typography, which perfectly match the subject matter of this quirky publication. The book will be available in stores by the end of 2013.
