I stumbled across the recent of work of Clase BCN over on Behance and I’ve got to say I’m glad I did! For those not familiar with them, this Spanish studio has a folio full of heaps of great identity, print and typographic work, such as this recent corporate identity for Arts Santa Mònica.
In the studio’s own words ‘creating the identity for a contemporary art centre is always a complex job and an exciting challenge.’ I have to say I think they succeeded and I love the rationale supporting the bold and distinctive identity mark they created. The mark itself is supported by a simple, yet bold typographic palette, which is centered around what appears to be a custom monospaced typeface. This establishes a strong visual language for this identity and pretty much leaves the designers free to play with a larger selection of colours, which they have taken full advantage of.
I recommend taking the time to check out the rest of Clase BCN’s folio of work as it won’t fail to disappoint!
